2025 Summer Sixes Lacrosse League
Sixes lacrosse is the newest style of lacrosse shown by the WLL professionally and will be played in the Olympics in 2028! With only 5 field-players and a goalie on a smaller field, there is tons of action the entire game.
Rules:
- 5 field players, 1 goalie
- No offsides (besides having one player behind the midline, ie: goalie)
- Last team to touch the ball when it goes out of bounds loses possession, even on a shot, even if it hits a player on a shot.
- We only faceoff to start a quarter, after each goal, the goalie clears the ball from the crease after the refs whistle.
- No d-poles for the boys!
Ages: *If enough players in each division, if not we will combine the 5th-8th divisions*
- 3/4th, 5/6th, 7/8th, High School
Dates:
Youth Boys (3/4 & 5/6th)- Tuesdays: July 8th, 15th, 22nd
Middle/High School Boys (7/8 & HS)- Thursdays: July 10th, 17th, 24th
Times:
6-7:30pm at CALVARY DAY SCHOOL TURF FIELD
Game Play
-5 field players and a goalie on the field per team
-Shorter field, smaller teams, fast-paced play, and lots of playing time
-MS and HS games will start with a faceoff and have two 20 minute halves with running clock and goalie clear after each goal.
- No long poles this summer! We are playing as close to Olympic rules as possible, and will have extra shorties available for defenders to use if needed.
- Out of bounds turnovers are the same as basketball, even on a shot!
