Leif is an alum from Alfred State in Western New York. He grew up playing box lacrosse (Newtown Golden Eagles) in the Can-Am league (4 to 18 years old). He was a WNY All-Star at Gowanda High School, as well as, a four year starter and top three on the team in points in 1997 at Alfred State. He has been coaching in the Savannah area for years. He lives and breathes coaching!
